This is my Blogzine: a jump back to the baser levels of writing to appreciate the entertainment that goes down easy and with flavor. This is more the dive bar than brasserie of blogs, so it contains serials, narratives, and stories of easily digestible media. Pull up a stool, read my independent press with your cheap beer. You'll find stories of Amsterdam, a love of pulp, horror, and stage with jumps from academia to ice fishing. This is my freewrite. Enjoy and share in the disabstraction.

Holy Shit
Tonight, for the Factory Theater's opening of Siskel and Ebert Save Chicago, Roger Ebert himself was in the audience. He apparently gave it a thumbs up and appeared to enjoy himself. Wow. That's so cool. Especially after all the other good buzz the show's been getting. I'll write more on this later. I have to go to sleep. Thanks, Roger!

i'M NOW USiNG a mAC 4 mY POSTS...
...and it's been a while since I've used a Mac for anything. It's like re-learning to drive stick shift. I'm getting the feel for the wheels and it's starting to be smooth. I will never, ever buy that friggin iPhone because I'll never be able to afford it, but I'll bet it's some of the finest shit ever. I wish I had the time and money to actually test all the Apple and Mac whores who go out of their way to point out their tool's superiority in my own life instead of my work life. I'm not saying the Jobs-Zombies are wrong (blah, blah, blah Bill Gates got really lucky that Xerox allowed him to have Windows and it always has its problems, etc. I know. I've been a PC technician for years, so I know) but now I can see a little better for myself. Any and all hints/shortcuts/Easter Eggs/tools/quirks about Macs are now welcome. So let me know.
UPDATE: Never mind. Me and my damned, stupid belief in the words "long-term" actually matching with "assignment" when I'm told so.
